Lamy 2000 Broad Nib

I saw these on I think the JBS1963 for mor than that, but found another thread that suggested isellpens.com that sell it for 100 US dollars too (postage heaps).

Have you tried the oblique nibs as these seem quite popular too?

65 pounds seems a very good price.

Ive never used the seller so cant comment from experience - but his feedback looks good.

good spot and good price- unfortunately they dont ship to my part of the world.

But did spot one from Pengallery bsed in Malaysia for about 104 Us dollars including shipping- may be worth a go!

Thanks for that. I tried a Lamy 2000 today on one of my rare trips to London. The shop had only M nibs available (good job too because I can't afford one right now).

 

This pen (with an EF nib) is next on my pen shopping list.

Update on this - after a few months use this pen developed a leak where the aluminium meets the makrolon.

 

I eventually ended up sending this to Heidelberg for repair, came back in about two weeks.

After fairly extensive repair (see below, cant understand why so much replaced) its working just like when it was new. Still pleased with the pen despite the temprary breakdown. Hope its a one off as its

supposedly a bulletproof pen.

Huh, this isn't as broad as I figured it would be given the 2000's tendency to run wide. Nice, though.

sounds pretty much like a new pen!

hope it works better this time.

Some folks here seem to have a few pens (Lamy's) on the go, with one often being repaired and the others in use! A strange sacrifice to make, but it is a gorgeous writing implement.

Just ordered a 2000 OB to use for signature writing. I have an EF for everything else. I love this pen, my EF has been the most reliable pen in my whole collection, sometimes sitting for a month or two and then upon picking up instant starts and smooth writing. I hope my Oblique Broad behaves as well.
