I just sent him an email, too! I'm very excited. I actually think I'd just keep it wrapped up as a collectors item; totally against what I usually do. However, it seems like too good an opportunity to pass up. I hope you're all well. :-)

We must getting near 100. Has this project been advertised amongst the German pen clubs/forums. If so, any interest?

Dear kushbaby,

my account kept getting logged out whenever I post a msg so was testing.

As to an update we have passed the 100 pen mark so that's cause for some celebration.

As Fred mentioned in an earlier post celluloid should be ready early next year.

Maybe we should send MB Hamburg some Christmas fruitcakes to soften them up :) .

Stay well,

Solomon

Man, the wait is making me nuttier than a fruitcake! How long does it take to grow and harvest celluloid?? rolleyes.gif

Seriously, thanks again to those who are making this happen! The century mark for potential buyers should help convince the MB "decisioners".

... or as a friend of mine often says: "All good things come to those who wait."

I haven't signed up for one. However, I am following this story as it unfolds.

May all yourr striated fountain pen dreams come true!

what kind of price are we looking at ?

the reissue is a great idea...........

Dear DovR,

the pen is targeted at US$1,000 excluding shipping.

To everyone who emailed me earlier this month your details have been updated and a return email sent. My email account was acting up with a hijacked advertisement hence the delay in reply. The offending menace has been removed and I do apologise.

Stay well,

Solomon

I hope to have a turnable rod of celluloid very soon. :-)

Fred

Fred,

Is this rod intended to be sent to MB for evaluation or for another purpose?
