Put me down for one please; would be great though if MB will let me obtain it via my UK contact in London though.

Any chance of a green striated 149?

Thanks for posting those. I can't get enough of the pics. The ones diamondhead posted are what finally made me break down and sign up for one. Now these make me want to sign up for a second but I'd prefer

to remain happily married.

Cheers,

Casey

Just look at that beautifully stubbed nib. Happy sigh...

It is very, very nice. Trust me. I think the ink flow is still too heavy, but Fred needed for a meeting.

Hard times don't last, but hard people do.

Thank a Veteran.

I trust your word on MBs completely. Still cruising daily with that 146 and its awesomely smooth nib.

Can you please advise us regarding the status of your pen quest with Montblanc? We would like to know. Thank you.

I am waiting for arrival of some samples of celluloid from a new source. This will be part of the presentation to Montblanc. This was a very nice surprise, I can tell you, because there are some technical and legal hurdles that this will help overcome.

Things are progressing! I am not putting a deadline on the initial 100-pen goal, because that list grows at the same time as the 146 reissue project continues along.

I greatly appreciate the time and effort you and all who are working on this project are putting into it, and I'm sure all here share my appreciation. You are out there trying to make this possible, while most of us are just sitting, merely observing from the outside, and waiting for the harvest. Many thanks to all of you who are turning a fantasy into reality.

Hear! Hear! Thanks Darius for putting it so well, and to everyone who is working hard to get this project off the ground!

Fred, Darius puts this well and I second this sentiment. Thank you for the update and am impressed that you would go as far as to source the celluloid that would go into this creation.

Best Regards

The basic concept is the "silver platter" approach. Hand them everything, including the initial orders with a deposit. With $100,000 (assuming $1,000 pen) minimum revenue, the parts they already have in their parts bins, and the celluloid source, it'll be harder for them to say, "No"!

How about tagging on the free publicity angle as well? That they have that many knowledgable collectors/users/fans of their product world wide. They might even turn it into a mystery ad - who are these people and why do they own these exotic RARE pens?

[if they want more of my genius, I'll have to charge :P ]

I recently had a chance to compare a series of vintage green striated models including a pencil, and the 142 and 146 sized models. Although they are a little smaller than their modern counterparts (except the pencil which has no modern equivalent) they share the same solid build and quality of construction that one would find in a new MB. A knowledgeable vintage MB collector might even say they are better constructed. Regardless, they are very beautiful and precious and to have a modern version of this classic would be very special indeed.

Best wishes.

Yeah. Put me down for one.

I'll be trying to attract some attention from the local pen shops here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Particularly the owner PenGallery and KSGill :-)

Has the size been discussed? The smaller size would be more true to the original, but the longer size of the modern 146 may be more comfortable for some.
