Waterman Reflex

My favorite pen is a Waterman Reflex that I bought at a pen show for a dollar. It glides smoothly on all papers and always writes. An internet search brings only the information that the pen was always inexpensive. I found a photograph at www.sccsales.50megs.com/cgi-bin/i/watermanreflexpink.jpg I have no connection with this company. Other photos at www.sccsales.50megs.com/page3.html

Can anyone tell me more about my Waterman Reflex? Thanks

Hi,

The Waterman Reflex was in production around the 80s or 90s. They are the equivalent of a "school pen", which is kind of an introductory FP. I don't think they were distributed in the USA; at least, I never saw them at Fahrney's' or any of the other shops I would frequent, nor did I see them online much until a few years ago when I found sccsales.

And _you_ have "the rest of the story".

I was lucky, then, to find the one I have. Thanks for the information.

I have seen them for sale at Mora, most of the girls in my former classes had one. I remember that it was a great writer because I was being lent one by a girl school mate when I had no cartridges anymore in my back pack.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Ah! And my cousin's daughter is studying in France. Perhaps she will find another Waterman Reflex for me while she is there.

After hours of searching I finally managed to track down what type of Waterman my FP was!

A Waterman Reflex. It doesn't seem to exist anywhere, the only other place I found a picture was on another website (http://www.penmuseum.co.uk/waterman.htm)

I received mine as part of a two pen set with a rollerball pen.

They're not a solid colour, rather a bluey marble effect. They have a gold clip and nip (though the gold eventually came off the nip :-s)

The fountain pen is a fantastic writer, it glides across the page and in my 6 years of owning it I've never had any problems with it!

Hello,

I have a Waterman Reflex Fountain Pen. Please could someone suggest which cartridge would suit this pen as the standard waterman cartridge doesn't seem to fit. I would appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you.
