Why the discrimination against B nib lovers? And MB might go for it. After all, Visconti does LEs if there's a guarantee of a particular number of buyers.

I'd lean more toward a 149 than a 146 myself, but with a B or BB available, that color's so pretty, I'd join the fantasy.

I'm with Ghost Plane. I'd love a broad nib too. I doubt MB would do specialty nibs like medium stubs and EF flex.

Can we call it owners club like Bexley? It would make sense from a marketing point to have a membership. Swarovski does it and it entitle you to purchase a special item. I don't see why Montblanc marketing can't follow that methodology.

Wael may be on to something here. I wonder if MB has thought of this extra marketing avenue. Regarding Fred's "fantasy pen" order, I would be in as well.

Me and ool' talkinhead are still in. I'm good for at least two pens. He's so cheap, he'll probably want one pen and three nibs.

Hard times don't last, but hard people do.

Thank a Veteran.

You know...not a bad idea...was thinking of doing that with my Pelikans...just keeping 2-3 barrels, and all my BB, OB OBB, OBBB, OM's nibs and just switch 'em out as needed.

Precisely why I posted it. ;) We need hard numbers to make a go.

Are you waiting to hit 100 pens to pitch the idea to MB, or do you have some indication that they're game but require an order of 100+?

The former. I won't even bother without a commitment for 100 fountain pens. If I hit 100, there will be a written lucrative pitch with an offer of 50% deposits. I will be consulting with some knowledgeable individuals to get it right. If Montblanc buys into it, I ask for deposits.

Dear Fred,

if you see my post its 2 (one each for 149, and L139 - if that materialises).

If it is just the 146 then its 1.

So if the 146, 149 and L139 are in the pipeline then it's 3 total.

My apologies for any confusion.

Stay well,

Solomon

Okay, I got them to manufacture 100 green striated cellulose 146 pens, with old-syle logo and off-white bird spat and gold accoutrement, with your choice of monotone 18c nib in M stub and EF round, or 14c EF full flex.

Who wants in?

Fred

Yes, I'm in Fred! Medium stub please. Thank you!

Regards,

Soki

Soki,

Well, those flex and stub nibs were my fantasy. The reality is probably the nibs already available (EF, F, M, B, BB, OM, OB, OBB). I'll do what I can, but one step at a time!.
