No writing this morning, but last night I was using a new acquired late-model 234 1/2 with a great B flex nib. Decided to keep it simple and filled it with vintage Sheaffer Blue-Black.

A very fun pen to use. B)

I'm currently on a work trip. So I decided to take my Traveller with me as that's what it was designed for. ;)

Using Mystery Black Gold cartridges.

146 Vermeil with my own created italic nib :)

Ink wise Mystery Black from the bottle, does anyone else notice a slight greenish tint when looking at the bottle threads where the ink has been? Dont tell me its the colour of the glass

It is perfectly normal.

If I write on very shiny paper it turns into a greenishblack.

I remember when I tested my fp in the boutique the nib of my colllodi was a bit green. The assistantmanager said that they therefore could see if a customer had used MB ink or not (if it was filled with black ink)

Noblesse FP with MB Blue /Black Cartridge

Thank you for your post.

It was the first one after two days of offline of FPN.

I think I had some serious withdrawl symptoms.

Almost pulled out every plug of the electronicaldevice in my house and work to check if that was the problem and my "F5"-button is also a bit faded now! :roflmho:

Meanwhile I could enjoy my pens ofcourse.

Thanks for that. The MB story surprises me though, surely other MB inks dont leave traces of another colour to help the 'ink police' with their enquiries ?

Today I'm using a very classical combination: MB 149 (from the late 80s, 14k nib and ebonite feed, with M nib) filled with Montblanc Royal blue

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time
