Just adopted into the family is this mint 1985 Montblanc149. Although she's 27, she's still a virgin, but please no teasin'. Yes, you read right; she's never been inked. And her patina is just gorgeous! Anyway, she's striking a pose for her first family photo. :cloud9:

Today, I will using a 2011 vintage 149 F. I'm still trying to decide whether to stick with the Midnight Blue or load some Mystery Black. Decisions, decisions...

Nice pen! I'd have to cure that virginity problem ASAP! :roflmho: That's like having a knife that's never cut anything.

Although, your suggestion is very, very tempting............Sorry Mr. Wolfe, she's a bit smarter than those three little pigs. Besides, I plan to keep her stored until my blockhead Marine son returns from Afghanistan; prayerfully next summer. And....since I taught him everything he knows.......he'll know exactly what to do with her! Kudos on your compliment Sir.

I'll say a prayer for your son's safe return too. I'm also over here in Afghanistan.

P. S. that's MS Wolfe. ;)

No apology needed, my name doesn't exactly give it away. And you're welcome for the support. Being Army and deployed myself, I understand how it's appreciated.

And in keeping with the spirit of this thread, my little Mozart goes everywhere with me and got a little use today in a meeting with the unit 1SG.

1990s 149 in a 1980s 149 desk base, XF nib. But I'm carrying a sterling Aurora Optima with XF and a Parker 51 Flighter (XXF) so I have a choice.

Bill, what kind of car is that?

MB 149 fitted with a BB nib and inked with Waterman Florida Blue. This nib has stubbish qualities allowing for nice line variation, a very smooth writer and fun to use.

149 with Visconti blue (no response in classifieds so may as well use it)

For the first time today I used all my MBs in a row to create a writinbg sample for another post, it was fun creating that sample. I have only 6, not enough to be called a collection, but all that I can afford for the moment. Have a look:

  • 2 weeks later...

I've had two in my pocket all day. The Schiller WE with M stub and Diamine Imperial Blue, and the Fitzgerald WE with M nib and Visconti Green.

Just pulled out my Kafka with F stub and MB Burgundy to do some scribbling for the evening.

"Here was a man who had said, with his wan smile, that once he realized that he would never be a protagonist, he decided to become, instead, an intelligent spectator, for there was no point in writing without serious motivation." - Casaubon referring to Belbo, Foucault's Pendulum.
