Emptied a number of my pens. Now only have my Collodi inked with the matching Chestnut ink, and my Shaw with Mystery Black ink.

I want to try my Ganddhi ink this weekend but I can't decide which of my pens to ink. Top contenders are my Proust and Faulkner.

My Collection: Montblanc Writers Edition: Hemingway, Christie, Wilde, Voltaire, Dumas, Dostoevsky, Poe, Proust, Schiller, Dickens, Fitzgerald (set), Verne, Kafka, Cervantes, Woolf, Faulkner, Shaw, Mann, Twain, Collodi, Swift, Balzac, Defoe, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Saint-Exupery, Homer & Kipling. utilizing my trifecta of Richemont Pens:

Cartier de pasha, collodi mb, geometric mb.

its difficult to say but the cartier's nib writes more smoothly than the two mbs.

It's a simple, quiet Sunday, and I'm just using my 80's 149 with the soft M nib (and MB Blue-Black) to do some jotting...

After shoveling 4" snow off my patio and sawing branches off a tree that fell across my driveway, I trudged into my study and journaled writing with my Montblanc Thomas Mann fountain pen. The pen has a beautiful smooth medium nib, inked with Montblanc Burgundy Red ink, and glides across the Rhodia paper. Always a pleasure to write and scribble notes.

There are a thousand thoughts lying within a man

that he does not know until he takes up his pen to write.

Dear All,

I am taking this question quite literally. Today, I felt like using my Meisterstuck Sterling Silver Classique (medium nib) fountain pen cradled in a La Vie de Boheme hard to find single pen pouch. I wrote with it today to place my order for the “Tribute to the Montblanc” Classique fountain pen which will be ready for pick-up next week. Generally speaking, I feel that the 149s and Le Grand series are better suited for business purpose and the Classique and Boheme series are better suited for private occasions. Reasons? I think I can “play around” with precious metal pens more freely without being too tacky with smaller pens. If I show off a Sterling Silver pen in Le Grand size or larger, I think it becomes very distasteful in my personal opinion.

Cheers

Monblanc Love

Montblanc 3-42G with a medium stubbish flexible nib, recently acquired from Bryant via the classifieds. Absolutely great, wet writer except on the smoothest of papers. Just started using this pen yesterday, so I probably need to get used to it. Fantastic lush lines, big, bold strokes on old stationery from work. This paper looks and feels nice, but is more suited to dry writers and laser printers. The 3-42G needs more careful handling on the smooth, if not slippery, paper in a Quo Vadis Habana (old style).

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.

New aquired (damn FPN classifieds!) Montblanc 149 with Visconti blue. However . . . . due to a change in circumstances (damn FPN classifieds!) this maybe going straight back on the market to free up some funds.

Dumas WE with a BB stub, and Diamine Graphite ink.

Boheme MP .9MM

Leonardo Sketch

The 144 sized roller, GT, with a fine refill - also, Solitaire pinstripe BP... Almost lost it last Friday - thankfully, we frequent the restaurant where it was left behind (either by the 7 year old or the 42 year old... Either way, on the 42 year old to confirm the jacket pockets have all parties accounted for...) - the waitress saved my butt on that one...

I bought a green striated 144 at the Columbus Ohio Pen show this weekend. I inked it with Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku. The nib is a BB.

On a Monday Travel Day, using a Dostoevsky WE (M nib) with Diamine Sapphire Blue and a 100th Anniversary with Pelikan 4001 Konigsblau to do some notes.

The MB 3-42G with medium nib I recently bought. Getting used to it, have to use a really light touch with this flexible nib. I need to slow down, watch grip and posture, which certainly is an enjoyable activity, but not compatible with rushed note-taking at work. I tend to put too much pressure on the pretty little nib if I'm not careful.

Loaded with Diamine Umber.

I will probably add a second pen to my rotation.

In a rut:

Leonardo

Boheme MP (.9MM) - I really like this one - it has great balance, etc...

146 PT - Fine nib, filled with Noodler's Legal Lapis

149 - Broad nib, filled with, I think, Noodler's Black...

Also, riding shotgun, a Porsche Design shake ballpoint and a red Lamy Safari (M) with Diamine Monoco Red...
