What MBs are you using today?

Blade Runner

MB 149 18k tri-tone with F nib, Waterman Florida Blue, though now a somewhat darker shade because there were still traces of MB Black in the pen. I do flush carefully before putting a pen away for a little while.

A # 14 for the past few days. F nib with MB blue ink. Quite like it - testing it out as a note taker. Wouldn't mind a little more substance to it though.

Very nice, Blade Runner. Is that a Starwalker ball point? They are really nice looking pens, aren't they? Uh, I think you've set me back by about $1K+ !!!!

Thanks for posting the photo of the new Barleycorns. You're right--they appear to be more of a Chevron pattern but, gosh, they are attractive looking. And the Montblanc nib is second to none.

Here's a quick shot of the new silver Barleycorn. It's a beauty--a very elegant pen and the medium nib glides like silk. This fountain pen beckons turquoise ink so Pelikan it is! Incidentally, the mother-of-pearl star is not adequately captured in this photo but it's a classic stroke of design brilliance by Montblanc.

Wow Professor Plume, you got one!! I'm very happy for you. These Solitaires are sooooo amazing. Truly heirloom quality.

And yes, the ballpoint is a Starwalker black mystery. The fusiform shape is very ergonomic, and with the broad blue refill, it's my favorite bp. Enjoy your new Solitaire!

Beautiful photos.

And I see Shrinknib is getting good use of his new Nikkor 105mm VR macro lens! :clap1:

Alas, I am yet to develop such good photography habits or nice glass. For want of a better lens, this is taken with the kit 55-200mm Nikkor VR lens and a Nikon D7000 in manual mode!

For the photographers amongst you, the last photo required ISO 2800 with quite heavy cropping applied. I chose not to apply noise reduction in Lightroom (read: forgot to do so)

MontBlanc Dumas, broad purchased originally from Bryant Greer. Stubbed by MikeItWork and filled with MB Burgundy

MontBlanc 149. I believe a 1980's 'fine' purchased from the FPN marketplace from Barry Gabbay with a duo-tone 14k nib. Filled with Iroshizuku tsuki-yo. Recently returned from having the split ebonite feed reset and writing beautifully after I opened up the flow just a teeny bit.

Got into the habit, in January, of using one ink for the month... No reason, kinda silly really, but, since, haven't filled any up for April yet...

So, 146 sized roller with a fine blue refill and the matching 0.9 mechanical pencil with a 144 sized roller with a red refill for edits...

(And, since I can't not have an FP with me... A white B Safari running on Herbin Perle Noir)

I'm using the wife's MB149 (m nib) with Noodlers Zhivago. But she seems to have gone off it (she only had it over the weekend day), she's gone back to using an Esterbrook of mine. I think this pen could join my arsenal methinks...

Nervous? No, I'm just thinking...
