Thomas Mann Writers Edition with medium nib. Filled with Waterman Black. This is such a lovely pen to write with, I love the balance.

Sidestreaker: is that a Nikon FE camera with MD11 motor drive attached? (Although I must admit it could be an FE2 and/or MD12 as well.)

Using a MB Classique Solitaire pinstripe--fine point with Pelikan Edelstein Sapphire. It's just a matter of days before I ink everything on the desk with Montblanc Irish Green and--really--long live broad nibs!

Close. Though I do respect the convenience of automatic exposure offered by thr FE series, my preference is still on the more reliable and all mechanical shutter function of the FM series.

This is a late production of FM2. Having said that and despite my preference of less electronic in my gear, I'm lugging this around with a MD12, as the weight and dimension gives me more stability and grip.

Not to mention the fantastic genuine motor drive sound that comes with it!

Anyway back to topic: 149 and maybe along with my Mark Twain. Planning to get a pen case today so I'm really using them for dimensions testing.

I primarily use my Starwalker Cool Blue EF, just finished my love letter red ink but my latest purchase as of yesterday was the Starwalker A380 in fineliner and rollerball that conviently fits my FP nib system.

Nice combo.

Are you a Dutchman?

Nice inkchoice. If I am correct the ink comes from The Hague? Are they working good with the MB's?

My preferred supplier (no affiliation just a very happy customer):

Appelboom

Very nice samples--thank you for posting! The pictures are just fine! I also got some Akkerman's Oranje Boven (JUST arrived) and it is wonderful and works beautifully in Montblanc fountains.

My parents are Dutch and I have a Dutch passport, but was born in Costa Rica and raised abroad. At present I live in the Caribbean.

The Akkerman inks perform great in my MB pens. The only ink that I have had some difficulty with is the 'Akkerman Ijzer Galnoten bl/zw' a fantastic blue/black color, but with a lot of pigment and not the best flow in my pens. I highly recommend the Akkerman store in The Hague for any pen enthusiast visiting Holland. They have a fantastic selection and excellent service (ask for Mr. Paul Rutten). Their website is: www.pw-akkerman.nl. No relation, other than being a very satisfied customer. My last purchase there was their 100 year anniversary limited edition Orange Parker Duofold Centennial FB and matching BP.

Thanks for the compliment. With a different camera I might attempt taking a better shot in the future. Good choice of ink!
