A 1950 MB 136 with a beautifully flexible OB 14ct nib. It is loaded with Herbin Eclat de Saphir. This pen has pretty much ruined me for any other pen I own, including my 149. Guess I am going to be spending my hard earned cash on 138 and 139.

I am shocked that you like this...really, you are in awe of a vintage OB nib? I never, ever would have guessed.

Nice Omega. I'm beginning my hunt for a nice watch. Why are the dials of sports watches (sometimes called Pilot watches) most often black?

Today I'm using my vintage sixties 149 with Montblanc Oyster Grey.

An interesting watch with a sand coloured dial is the 126 XL Bell & Ross Desert Type Automatic Limited Edition, modeled after vintage military watches (Lawrence of Arabia's vintage Omega comes to mind). I switched the original tan strap to a black Sinn military strap.

I took my Thomas Mann to work for the first time today, partnered by my ever-present (I.C.E) MB rollerball. Slightly self-conscious, I obviously tried the nonchalant approach Oh you mean THIS pen...? (In response to the many anticipated complimentary comments) but in truth it took all morning before I was signing contracts and authorisations with any genuine assuredness. Performed brilliantly all day. The Mann didnt do too badly either.

This is an assured, majestic pen begging to be worked. Glad I took it with me. I hope none of you fellow (and lucky) Thomas Mann owners arent keeping yours locked up at home. MB 149 tomorrow.

Pavoni.

Pavoni.

The Mann is part of my regular rotation. Today he has a day off while I use the 149 BB with PR Blue Suede.
