Re-inked my MontBlanc 146 today. Sitting in my shirt pocket.

What a wonderfully balanced, light pen. Took a short time to readjust to the ergonomics having been handling my MB Dumas the last few weeks but I've rediscovered what a delightful, smooth nib the MB 146 is. Writers with the slightest of pressure, yet perfectly controlled flow. And MontBlanc nibs really do 'whisper' across the paper in a reassuring way, especially the extra-fine (not so much the broad stub).

Inked with Iroshizuku Tsuki-Yo which is my current 'go to work ink'

In Rotation: MB 146 (EF), Noodler's Ahab bumblebee, Edison Pearl (F), Sailor ProGear (N-MF)

In storage: MB 149 (18k EF), TWSBI 540 (B), ST Dupont Olympio XL (EF), MB Dumas (B stub), Waterman Preface (ST), Edison Pearl (0.5mm CI), Noodler's Ahab clear, Pilot VP (M), Danitrio Densho (F), Aurora Optima (F), Lamy 2000 (F), Visconti Homo Sapiens (stub)

I'm using someone else's Wilde with medium stubbed nib.

Racing Green Ink- great combination.

Aren't I lucky!!

This is a special pen of great proportions and visual appeal.

Just wish it was even more "stubby"...

I'm deciding, if I get the Carnegie, the Dumas or the Agatha have to go... can't have more than 5 pens, otherwise they are neglected.

Deciding to switch in & out, to give some other pens a chance. So I've got my fine-nibbed 149 loaded with Aurora Blue, and my 146 with Noodler's Eel Black.

Beautiful, Beautiful, and Beautiful.

I only own one MB, a 146 ballpen. I will have to save for some time, but am determined to get a 146 or a 149 FP to go with it. I just have to look at pictures like this to satisfy my craving in the interim!

I have a Carene and my 146 BP in my pen case today (the bp is very useful for the paper on the train home!)
