My first 149....I think I may be able to see what all the fuss is about

!970; the year I was born... and it's a 149...

Best excuse I've found to justify another 149 so far.

Nice Bookzy. What kind of case is that? I like it.

Today I'm using a MB 146 sterling silver Solitaire pinstripe, Broad nib with MB Royale blue.

The other pen is an Aurora 88 OS with sterling silver cap, XF nib with a mixture of Waterman South Sea and Florida blues.

Thanks, I like the secure zipper and that it can hold those pens. I don't think it's gender specific either.

I'm guessing a 146 would be a tight squeeze, and I'd probably have to go with the Signature for Good case, although that is only a 1 pen zippered case.

Yes, the lady at the shop said it was designed for smaller Meisterstucks, ie Classique and the Starwalker range. Perfect for me!

Edit: BTW it costs £80 if you were wondering.

just bought an ingrid bergman that is lovely but quite small in the hand as well. i am starting to become addicted to the oversized pens, as i don't tend to write with them much these days, just ook at them in a box

the aurora is a fanastic pen as well...

Just got my first 146 two days ago, have it inked with Herbin Perle Noire and enjoying it very much. It's a 1985 model with an EF nib that I'm amazed suits me so well as I love v fine nibs, seems to be writing around 0.2mm on the paper I'm using (Clairefontaine). Pleasant surprise!

149 B with Asa Gao... Still. Damn reservoir holds like 2 gallons of ink... Unfreaking-believable... I may just flush it...

Though, I haven't decided what I want to fill it with... Also, bought some Sheafer red after seeing the pictures from a day or two ago... (Filled a 146 F with it...)

Also, 144 roller with red refill.

I bought a new Mont Blanc 146 Solitaire Steel II yesterday, and have playing with that. It came with a medium nib but I think I will exchange it for either a B or an OB. I have also used my Mont Blanc 149 with OBB nib.

A work in Progress!
