That's a beautiful pen. One of the rhodium plated pens that were on the FPN marketplace a few months back perhaps?

Anyway, I only have one MB 149 - same ink - and probably still my favourite Iroshizuku ink. I was experimenting a bit with aperture values and my lenses. The first photo is a Nikkor 16-85mm VR (one of the best consumer zooms) and the second a 35mm f/1.8 Nikkor. No flash, just swivelled my daylight fluorescent desk lamp towards the ceiling... it's like 10:30pm.

Slightly evangelical ... it's what was on my desk and made a good background. No offense or other implied meaning intended (although if you want a copy, I could organise it - the pen doesn't come included)

Spot on Tanalasta, I brought it from Multiechelon a few months ago.

After some initial teething problems of my own making, it now works like a dream.

I think you would be very hard pressed to find a better seller than Sean, a true Gent.

Kind regards,

Jamie.

MB 234 1/2 Deluxe (53 to 55) a 1 1/2 tier MB. KOB (15 degrees)

My best nib, best balance, good width and even got a bit of bling.

Nib is not super fancy like a modern MB but is semi-flex KOB (5 degrees).

I more or less lucked into it.

I'd not swap it in for any other MB, nor other.

It's a Magic Pen, it improves my handwriting to it's readable and writes like a fountain pen should.

MB Toffee, as of yet my first and best shading ink; but I'm a 10 ink noobie.

As with every day, I'm using a black Caressa with Noodler's Zhivago. Looks lame next to your pens, but it's a match made in fountain pen heaven, I swear.

I'm using a Dumas today with Herbin Lie de Thé

Lovely pen, Jasam, and photo. Congratulations on your beautiful Dumas. You have given me a new appreciation for that Writer's Edition.

I'm using my 146 with OBB nib, Eclat de Saphir/Violette Pensee blend, and an older 149 with extra fine nib, JHerbin Cafe des Iles.

The dumas is a lovely pen, i becAme a fan of montblanc recently and this is a really nice example. Ive been offered a 146 with an obb nib but after the dumas i cant stay away from that size, this fat pen is not on diet :P. How you like the 146 compared to your 149? Plus the nib size seems a little extreme, i like stubs from .8 mm to 1.3 mm. I think the OBB would be as many have said, signature only. A OB would be fine...

Another queation, hows the line variation with the Oblique nibs ?

I hope to have a WE in the future. The Dumas would definately be a candidate.

My 149s have become my daily users. But this 146 is very nice because of the nib.

The OBB is little vague for me, so I invert the pen and write with the "flip side" of the nib, which resembles an italic. My next aquisition will be a 149 with BB italic, or a re-tip of one of my 149s.

I'm undecided about the oblique grind, but a crisp double broad nib is elegant, even for every day writing.

Quick writing sample: pardon the writing and the photography.

Ink is a blend of JHerbin Eclat de Saphir and Violette Pensee

I have to get back to work.
