What MBs are you using today?

Blade Runner

Recommended Posts

My guess is ca.92-96 for the 2-tone and 96 to present for the 3-tone.

Barry, you are awesome!

I bought the 2 tone brand new 1n 1994 at Joon's, NYC.

I bought the 3 tone from Norbert Otto's ebay site. I found my notes about the transaction for this exercise which indicates the pen is from late 90s. Well done. :happyberet:

Great photo! Thanks for posting it. Who wants to play the "dating game"? What are the approximate dates of production for these two nibs?

I am abysmal at this game, but I'll guess.

The nib on the left- circa 1980

The nib on the right- circa 1985?

Beautiful photo!

Oh, I have so much yet too learn.

I should probably buy another 149 for research purposes.

Well done Barry. Obviously, I did my guess without referring to your treatise on the subject.

My mistake. I've got some studying to do.

I've owned Writers Edition pens since 2003 when I bought my Fitzegerald and shortly after my Verne. I've never used any of my WE until today. Today I filled my Verne with MB blue ink.

So far I have only written a few lists, the first being a shopping list the second the order in which the WEs were released.

Have to say I am very impressed with the pen. In some ways I wish I'd inked it many years ago.

Next to be inked will be my Mann or my Cervantes. I'll give the Verne a few months worth of action first though.

I am using it with my Ciak notepad. Although it does bleed through a bit the pen is super smooth.

My Collection: Montblanc Writers Edition: Hemingway, Christie, Wilde, Voltaire, Dumas, Dostoevsky, Poe, Proust, Schiller, Dickens, Fitzgerald (set), Verne, Kafka, Cervantes, Woolf, Faulkner, Shaw, Mann, Twain, Collodi, Swift, Balzac, Defoe, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Saint-Exupery, Homer & Kipling. Montblanc Einstein (3,000) FP. Montblanc Heritage 1912 Resin FP. Montblanc Starwalker Resin: FP/BP/MP. Montblanc Traveller FP.

Just for jasam..............here is my Agatha, but not with any ink display, although she is inked with a mix of MB red and black to make a nice blood coloured ink! She was mint until she landed here...........after so long she needed a big drink - and this nib will be going visiting a nibmeister when I can bear to let her go for a while!
