1979 MB 149 extra fine with a mix of herbin bleu de nuit and private reserve lake placid

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Woolf B nib with MB black as it's about the only ink to even partially stick to some nasty paper in an Eccolo journal. Notice they're now made in China, not Italy, so I'm wondering if they were combining Chinese paper with Italian leather at this stage of manufacturing.

146P medium. Switched from dry Pel BB to wetter Waterman BB, and like the flow better.

I flushed out a half filled pen with MontBlanc Black today, being most dissatisfied with it after a week in my MB 146P.

It bled through horribly on work paper, feathered a little and looked a bit watered out. Definitely an ink for a broader nib as I found the colour was a lot more dark black on a gusher of a Homo Sapiens. Now my MB 146P has moderate flow so I can't blame the pen.

Did what I should have done all along, poured half a Visconti travel inkpot of MB black out also. Filled it with my travel inkpot of Iroshizuku ku-jaku. Absolutely delighted :cloud9:

MB 146P (extra-fine). Taken handheld ad-hoc in warm fluorescent light with a Nikon D90, Nikkor 16-85mm at 50mm, F/5 and 1/10s ... sorry, no flash. And only spent half a second on the white balance correction.

Nice picture!

And I think that you had your focuspoint at the nib (or the leftside of the picture). The rightside has a softfocus.

My preferred supplier (no affiliation just a very happy customer):

Appelboom

I was planning on using the 144 today until I realize it had ran out of ink! I decided to bring the Bourdeaux Pen instead!

149 F with Pelikan Royale blue. It's the first time in 15 years this pen has ink other than blue black. Nice change - It's like writing with a new pen!

Just gor my Poe back from MB Hamburg. Piston came off everytime when filling. Filled it up with British Racing Green. Absolutely delighted to write with this butter smooth B-nib again.
