Been using my Hemingway for the last few days with good old Sepia.

And how can this be, because he is the Kwisatz Haderach.

Sunnerd,

Is that a vintage 149? I'd be interested to hear your impressions about it. Cheers.

Still using the same pen today. It's a 60s 149, older than yours truly so I suppose it's "vintage". :happyberet:

I'm very happy with it. It's wet writer (not as wet as the 100th historical F nib I got) and lots of shading with MB Royal Blue (see picture). I like the Saphir more as I want more uniform shading. Sorry for my bad handwriting.

Thanks Sunnerd. Does your vintage 149 have a noticeably flexible nib, and if so, do you like that characteristic? Cheers.

Out and about today with my Montblanc 146 BB nib and Montblanc black ink.

I have a set of these FP, RB, BP in a 3 pen pouch for when out to cover any writing eventually.

And how can this be, because he is the Kwisatz Haderach.

My 146 is coming out to play today. Filled with MB Violet,

During a meeting, I had a great trio of pens.

  1. Lorenzo F nib with Racing Green,
  2. Proust F nib drinking Oyster Grey
  3. Agatha EF nib with Red Bordeaux.

It was awesome, I was sketching a few engineering details, holding all three, uncapped, switching between them to distinguish between the various details and materials, explaining to an engineer how I want something manufactured, placing notes with Lorenzo, shading with Proust, marking up and indicating material patterns with Agatha... Hold all three pens at the same time, it was fantastic, then tore off the sketch and handed to the engineer to commence his work. It's was such as fluid and satisfying experience.:vbg:

Just great...

Cheers

Yes, it is flexible (from EF to F) and I love it.

P.S. Today I have a Rhodium plated 149 M nib on Visconti Blue.
