Using my Thomas Mann Fine Point with BRG until Monday :)

In order to appreciate the sweet, you must truly taste the bitter....

25+ years old 146, 18k yellow, well broken-in fine nib, body replaced.

My own blend of MB inks to achieve a dark blueish tone.

In Europe MB insists their own ink has a cleaner built-in and that anything else might clog the feeder.

FP well supported by the LeGrand Highliter and Mechanical pencil.

Looks nice in the pen mug on the desk.

164-size solitaire signum ballpen in the shirt pocket.

I miss the smell of sharpening my Faber Castell cedar pencils, though.

MB 149 with three-colour M nib, pen stand, blotter

MB 149 with three-colour M nib, slit slightly off, leather cigar case

MB 146, clear blue ink window, 18K yellow F/M nib, crystal inkwell

MB 146, striated ink window, 18K yellow fine nib, MB 147, M nib, leather case,

Voltaire WE with Bernstein clip and 149 star, M nib

166 yellow, 166 green, 1x161, 2x167, a couple of 164/163's, Platinum solitaire signum BP

And a couple of Lamy, Pelikan, and Rotring calligraphic pens

A modern 149 inked with Waterman Florida Blue - which I see now needs a refill.

Attention to details is often the difference between mediocre and magnificent.

Today:

Two old black celluloid Meisterstucks: a 146G EF triple flex filled with MB bordeaux, and my 146G BBB filled with some blue stuff that I forget what it is. Howzat for contrast? Oh, and my 100-year RB if anyone cares.

Accompanied by my ever-present black Waterman No 7 pink nib filled with Aurora black, and a green Doric lever-filler with adjustable No 7 nib filled with Stipula moss green.

I think you just described the perfect day! :puddle:

I've been playing with some 149s today (specifically 1960s/70s BB with MB Gandhi ink, modern B nib with Herbin Bleu Pervenche, and 1972 EF with MB Blue black), as well as a 1950s KF 146. :D

I just received my Mont Blanc 146 (platinum trim) in an extra-fine nib from the Fountain Pen Hospital.

Dipped the new pen in J'Herbin Perle Noir and wrote a few lines on some plain ol' copy paper and my moleskine notebook.

Love it!!! :cloud9:

Well balanced, beautiful and simple pen. Reminds me a lot of my Sailor 1911. The EF nib writes very satisfactorily straight out of the box. Smooth, nice feedback and about the same width as my Sailor 'F' nib. But slightly stiffer and with slightly more feedback. But still a joy to write with without splitting hairs.

I can just imagine putting it with my 2-pen case (MB Siena); a Visconti travelling inkwell with Perle Noir in my briefcase and being very, very happy.

In Rotation: MB 146 (EF), Noodler's Ahab bumblebee, Edison Pearl (F), Sailor ProGear (N-MF)

In storage: MB 149 (18k EF), TWSBI 540 (B), ST Dupont Olympio XL (EF), MB Dumas (B stub), Waterman Preface (ST), Edison Pearl (0.5mm CI), Noodler's Ahab clear, Pilot VP (M), Danitrio Densho (F), Aurora Optima (F), Lamy 2000 (F), Visconti Homo Sapiens (stub)
