149 with Indian Camlin blue. Its an OBB, so any blue : light , deep or no : looks super saturated.

WE Cervantes B with mbtb. I always use the Toffee here , may be my fixation, but its the best combo.

MB Agatha Christie, F, Iroshizuku Asa-gao ink

MB Carlo Collodi, F, MB Alfred Hitchcock ink

Like this combination very much and I refilled both pens with the same ink this weekend. (Although a brown ink, like Akkerman Bekakt Haags, also looks great in the Collodi.)

Using them both at work.

journaling / tinkering with pens / sailing / photography / software development

I have three MBs' a 149/B, a 165 ballpen and a 165 pencil. Bought them in 1991. The 149 lives on diet of Irish Green, Royal Blue and Midnight Blue.

As they are in daily use unless I buy another this will be my only chance to post on this thread..... :(

Respectively used for general writing & notes, for form filling and for drafts.... they heve all performed flawlessly and much loved. :)

Today I used a MB 14 and a 22. Both lay down a wet line so I have to refill them more often than I would like.

One of my favorite threads resurrected after 2 years!!

I'm using 2 celluloid 149s from the 1950's one loaded with Iroshizuku Kosumosu, the other with PW Akkerman #5 Shocking Blue.

They're both great nibs, with some flex, but not flex like some of the 1930's MBs. Like yours they have an italic'ish feel.

One's on the medium side of fine and the other on the fine side of medium :)

Love 'em!

149 BB loaded with DeAtramentis Herbs de Provence just because I hadn't used it in a couple of years.

Herbert von Karajan with burgundy red. The pen is a show stopper. I end up admiring it more than working.
