Arthur says: 1954 English Parker Standard Duofold wih a Jinhao nib

Arthur, can you elaborate on this? Did you swap the nib out yourself? Was it an automatic fit or did you have to work on this one? Any chance of a photo!! thanks, j

Right now I would have to say a Cross medium nib filled with PR Copper burst, but my Sailor 1911 medium nib filled with Sailor brown is a close second

Unclench your fist and you can grasp the entire world.

For the past year + my #1 pen has been a Stipula Saturno with either Aurora black or Herbin Perle Noire.

...followed closely by a Parker 51 with Waterman Havana.

...followed rather closely by a Charcole Safari with Noodlers Ottoman Azure.

But the Stip Sat has been and remains my go to,

Peter

1997 Sheaffer's Balance LE with factory stub nib. A great, beautiful pen with a wonderful, semi-flex italic nib.

Looking for interesting Sheaffer OS Balance pens

In the past few weeks it's been the Pilot Prera that I got from an FPN friend, and use as an eyedropper. Occasionally it blorps on my paper, so I have to keep an eye out for the warning signs. But it's such a nice fine point writer I don't even mind the risk.

Hello,

My favorite is a Stainless Parker Frontier with a medium nib. I used Heart of Darkness. I have a few other more expensive pens but I like the Frontier because of how it feels in the hand and it writes so smooth.

My new daily is a Sailor Pro gear H-M nib and a Sailor 1911 zoom nib--I use both at the same time to draw with and I have been using CARTRIDGES!!! The horror! I had a mishap with a bottle of ink in my bag and I switched to carts. All my piston fillers are crying that I don't love them anymore!

I answered this question about six weeks ago with my two most recently obtained pens. One of them (Pelikan 100 w/OM nib) is still being used frequently, but another newcomer has also seen considerable use lately. Not only because I want to put it through its paces, but because it is a fantastic pen.

Wow! What a great pen. I like it even better than the 1929 pearl and black OS Balance I had years ago with flexible medium nib. Thank you Bryant!

It's generally my most recent acquisition, but of late I seem to be carrying my Parker "51" Teal demi with gold-filled cap almost all the time.

For me, picking my favorite pen is a bit like asking me to pick my favorite child. Just can't do it - they're all lovable in different ways and if I don't like one, I generally give it to a newbie. But there have been very few pens I actively disliked over the years.

I'm Andy H and I approved this message.

I rotate my pens regularly, however the last two weeks: parker sonnet medium sized gold nib, Lamy allstar medium, lamy studio palladium medium.

Most used on a daily basis are my 1950s celluloid MB 146 and a 1931 Duofold Senior "Big Red". The former for most of my writing and the latter for signatures as it lays down a nice wet line.

Up until this year there was always an Aurora Optima in my brief case. Now it is a Bexley OC 2008 and a Nakaya Portable Writer, both with a fine nib.

It would have to be my marbled green Estie Dollar pen.

Either my Aurora 75 Anniversary Marbled Red Celluloid fp or my Omas Blue Lucens--both pens have nibs modified by John Mottishaw to left oblique cursive italic.

At work it is a P51 Special (from Pendemonium) in Burgundy (whatever the official parker name is for that) with PR Black Cherry.

At home it is a 1946 Parker vacumatic (from the Pen Place) in Golden Pearl with Waterman Havana Brown.

Other pens rotate; these stay filled and get used daily.
