I had heard a great deal about this colour, but nobody was able to describe the colour very well to me. Thank you for posting this review.

Hello! Is this 1990's Parker Penman ink? I used to love Penman sapphire blue, but it ruined two piston-filled pens, a Pelikan M800 and an OMAS Milord. It was necessary for both pens to have the barrels replaced. I hope you won't suffer any ill effects from Penman ink, but you might want to flush your pen often.

Regards, Robert

No matter where you go, there you are.

Thanks for the review. I would like to see it from a drier nib to see if more of the green comes out and not so dark. Have you tried that yet?

Robert,

I am sorry to hear of your troubles but I have often seen comments about problems with Penman inks and yet yours is the first actual example from someone who has had a problem themselves that I have read. Is it significant that both pens were piston fillers? I don't know, but I have used Penman inks for many years now in different convertor-filled pens without any trouble. But thank you for posting real-life evidence.

ps I hope this is not highjacking or some other thread crime!

Chris

I know these bottles are at least 20 years ago because that's when this former Parker employee retired, and had a bunch of unopened bottles and pens from when he worked there. The Emerald looks gorgeous after all this time, and I thought I would post an update in this thread with a finer nib.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.
