Happy pens!

I was looking at the Pelikan website and I came across the "Youth section."

These are called Pelikan "Happy Pens." Don't they make you happy?

I wish I had some of these when I was a little kid in Elementary School. Am going to get my 7 year old cousin one of these to get her started on fountain pens.

Ball-point pens are only good for filling out forms on a plane.

I don't have one of these, but I have a Pilot Varsity, which looks similar. They're not just for kids, they're great for adults who want to carry a pen they don't have to worry about losing! :)

I saw the first one (red with some flamish desing) at my local supermarket for a stunning 4,50€!

Ok, looks like really cheap plastic but the price is amazing.

Could you imagine Montblanc doing that?

If Mont Blanc tried to create their own "Happy Pen" it would probably cost at least $150 USD. After all, the "precious resin" doesn't come cheap. It's more precious than a barrel of oil or a bag full of old silver coins

There was once The Montblanc "Carrera" line of student pens in the '70s, but not "that" cheap ...
