Trouble free modern pen survey

Blade Runner

Recommended Posts

Not counting vintage pens because most have had to be tweeked one way or another.

Over 3 with no problems: Pelikan and Aurora. [Parker almost makes it, but there's that pesky Sonnet with <<potty mouth>> flow]

2 with no problems: Bexley, modern Waterman

Looking for an Omas Arco Verde...the one that got away.

I have most experience with Montblanc pens as I own 18 of them.

All write great out of the box. NO problems what so ever.

I had 2 older MB 30 years old 146 and 149.

Both were well used and except some nib twiking for my taste they worked well.

I also have good experience with Visconti. Great pens and very reliable.

Respect to all

Pelikan, and then Lamy, I actually had a poor nib on a Namiki Falcon, which was fixed by a nibmeister. Sorry to hear about Visconti since I just ordered one, I only heard good things about their smooth nibs.
