I often see Marlens and Krone for sale online at deep discounts. I am at a loss as to why this brand has not caught fire with the pen community. They are terrific performers, with great quality and panache (does anyone use that word anymore?).

The Krone 'Night Vision' pens are very striking and caught my attention in a magazine photo I saw about a year ago. I haven't pulled the trigger on one as of yet, and don't know how they are as daily writers, but they are cool looking.

I agree. I don't understand why Marlens are not more popular. They make interesting, unique, and beautiful quality pens. I only have one Marlen but I love it and will definitely buy some others! I've seen one or two complaints about the nibs but mine is perfect!

My one pink Marlen (so far).

Sorry for digging up an old thread but there is a Krone on that auction site right now that I am unfamiliar with and I wanted to get more information on it. Was it made by Marlen?

It is a cartridge converter pen with a blue body that had tons of little "windows" (?) that see into the barrel and cap.

One of my favorite pens is a Krone, the Molten I believe it is called?

I googled Krone Molten and that isn't the pen.

This is the pen:

(I am not selling the pen. It's just a model I haven't seen before and I wanted to get more information on it. If this is not in accordance with the rules, my apologies, please remove my post).

Dunno the model, but that's a lovely nib. Nails model didn't have the openings. I've seen these on occasion, but can't remember.

Thanks Keyless Works for this post. I don't really have any interest in a blue pen BUT did just "take a peek" which led to a perusal of the seller's other listings & they certainly have some interesting pens. They have also SOLD some interesting pens it appears in the past few months. I have never seen the Atelier Simoni pens offered for sale on the secondary market & the Rainbow Demonstrator they sold earlier was a great joy to view. I may not have the "need" for another pen BUT it is sure fun to look!

I haven't seen Atelier Simoni pens on the secondary market either....they were really expensive new for some reason I don't quite understand. I wish I had a chance to get in on the ST Dupont pens the seller had for sale. He/she has a couple of very interesting Pelikan limited edition pens as well....they aren't for me but I haven't seen either of them in a good while.
