Somewhere, Nathan has said that the color of the ink is intended to evoke, if not duplicate, the color of the fatigues/combat uniforms (don't remember which he said) worn by US Marines in the Pacific during World War II.

It's a great green. In the right pen, you can get away with using it to sign business correspondence, and it certainly is a great ink for handwritten office memos.

I've always liked this green and with every review read I get a little close to adding it to my collection. I've only got Zhivago and MB Racing Green, so a truer green would be appreciated.

Thanks for this review and all the others you've done, they've been helpful! I've happily used this ink for a few years--whenever I want a nice deep saturated unquestionable green. And it has good water resistance too.

One of my favorite colors for sure; but WOW! What a cool template. Did you make that yourself? Is it copy written? :)

As a teacher, it is THE color I use in 95% of my pens (I keep black in the other 5%). It's a great color for grading as it stands out from the blue and black of my students, but is still utilitarian enough for writing checks, signing documents, etc. Just enough on the dark side of green to mean business, but still unique enough to stand out. I love it.

I love this ink! It is my everyday ink at work and at home. I always have a pen filled with Green Marine.

Great ink, one of my favorites. For me, it's the perfect green. Contrary to the OP's review, I find it to be a nice shading ink. I always have a pen inked with it.
