What is your favorite ink color?

Poll--There are so many inks to choose from, but what would you say is your favorite color?

I have a Blue laque sonnet pen , which I love, but I prefer Blue-black ink, Blue makes the line look too thin for my liking. Black is too much; but I would like to find an ink darker than blue-black. Is it possible to mix blue-black with some black parker ink without upsetting anything?

By all means!

 

Take a blue-black that you already like (at least a bit) and then add a black ink to it.

A. They don't have to be from the same company.

B. Not only your "colour" plays a role, but also the wetness. Pelikans are dry inks, so are R&Ks. CdA's are a lot wetter. Herbins are also pretty wet.

C. Start off "small", i.e. not 50 to 50 because 1 part blue-black plus 1 part black is almost as black as you started off with. Do it more "scientifically". E.g. 1 part black to 20 parts blue-black, then 1 to 10, 1 to 5 etc.

I'm still quite fond of blue-black as it's a color for both business and personal use, but I'd have to say that my taste has varied over time.

"What is your favorite ink color?" may as well be phrased as "Does a dog have Buddha nature?" because the answer to either question is the same: Mu.

Royal blue is mine. Very hard to find in an ink.

I was torn, because I love my blues (especially the one I've blended), but I also really like Noodler's LCR and Black Swan in English Roses.
