What is your favorite ink color?

I'm an admitted blue-black lover, and it's heartening to see that I'm in good company. If there are so many versions of black and blue inks, why are there so few true blue-blacks available? I'd love a bulletproof true blue-black, like the current Sheaffer's Slov. ink. Legal lapis is nice, but too blue for me.

I've heard great things about R&K inks and hope to try some soon. Too bad that Pendemonium doesn't most of the colors in stock.

Orange for me. Not a muddy, nor a reddish orange - just orange.

I've tried Herbin Indien Orange. Too brown. Love PR Tangerine Dream, but that's gone. So looking forward to trying Diamine Orange.

Orange is just a very pleasing color for me to look at, and it's fun to use. I don't sign my name with it mind you, but use it for most of my personal notes.

Interesting to see that, as compared to this other poll, blue and blue-black inks kept here their percentage of users, while the percentage of black ink users drastically dropped...

 

Are users shy to admit they use black ink or shy to say they use colorful inks?

I'm a bit surprised to see blue-black in the lead at 55. I would have thought that all of you blue or black fans would have pushed those respective colors higher in the poll.

Vintage Skrip Burgundy is where it's at. If i can't have burgundy, i'll take a bottle of blue black.

 

If I could change the poll I'd add burgundy/bordeaux--lovely colors that have recently come to my attention and admiration.

Apologies - I do not believe I will ever have an answer to this question.

 

I only have (approx) 25 ink colors in my arsenal, of those, 23 are my favorite ink color.

I wonder why Lamy puts blue ink in all the pens they sell. Maybe because most people like blue?

I picked purple, as in the darker shade of Imperial Purple. Wonderful ink!
