What pen is she using - 3?

This is a photo of the famous French novelist Colette's hand (and cat). One of her best known, and in some circles considered as her best novel, Gigi, was adapted into a musical on Broadway as well as in a motion picture starring Maurice Chevalier and Leslie Caron.

What is the pen? Dates from the late Twenties, or the Thirties!

Observations about the cat from cat lovers are also welcome.

Looks very much like a pre-streamlined Duofold, and if so, probably a Mandarin Yellow Senior judging from the tone and proportions (and the black threads). Of course, it is possible that it is some other button-filler closely modeled on the Duofold, but the aforementioned black threads tend to reduce the likelihood.

Don't know about the cat.

Though I have never owned one, the first thing that I thought of on seeing the pen was a Duofold as well, it definitely has the body shape of the ones that I have seen in my wanderings through the fountain pen world.

FP Ink Orphanage-Is an ink not working with your pens, not the color you're looking for, is never to see the light of day again?!! If this is you, and the ink is in fine condition otherwise, don't dump it down the sink, or throw it into the trash, send it to me (payment can be negotiated), and I will provide it a nice safe home with love, and a decent meal of paper! Please PM me!For Sale: TBA

I found a reference that states that Colette considered her Yellow Mandarin Parker Duofold to be her favourite pen, her « stylo-fétiche ».
