Pen Shop in Fargo

I'm new here on the forum, but glad to be here. :roflmho: I don't know if this is the right spot to post this, but I could not find any place that seemed appropriate so I shall just put it here and hope for gentle correction.

On to my question. I may be moving to Fargo North Dakota in the near future (I know, why would anybody want to do that?) And I am looking around the net for a shop there that might carry pens and ink, you know, beyond the superstores like Office Max. I'm not expecting anything like a high end just what I need speacialty shop full of knowledgable pros or such stuff, but perhapse something.

Can anyone tell me of anything over there, or near there, or have you heard of there, or does there really exist other than on my map?

Thanks

Joe

Darwinism’s an elegant theory. It's pundants tell long tales of why god is dead and deity is gauche, but ask it how the inert became life; you'll get a blank stare. . . . . then it starts talking about aliens . . . then It all seems . . . . well . . . less elegant.

Hi and welcome.

I'm sorry that I can't help you out but do try many of the online services already offered by other members on the board here, e.g. Richard's or Rick's sites.

If you find something, buy everything they have before the hoarders get there.

If you ever make it down here, well... lots of pens.

Welcome!!

And if you DO find a place in Fargo, let us know!!!

(I can't find a place in MIAMI either--it's all about the internet. And I'm swearing off ebay, etc, until I can go to a real pen show! Miami in July....Look to see where there is a pen show near you!

Interesting you should bring that up. I was going to ask if anyone knew any good shops in the Twin Cities area. I have occasion to get down that way and I am shure I will from Fargo as well. I bought a Cross Townsend from Pen Paradise in the Mall of America some years ago, but the shop really isn't much, and they really were not terribly knowledgable. Anywhere else you might suggest?

Thanks

Joe

I get the feeling they don't do pen shows in North Dakota, just a guess mind you, but I have never seen anything.

I think there is a thread where we list all the shops in the Twin Cities: Ink (downtown Mpls), Art Materials (Lyndale), and there is a vintage place out somewhere, never been and I always forget the name!

I can't help you but welcome and... good luck!

There is a tide in the affairs of men which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat, and we must take the current when it serves or lose our ventures.
