A question about converters

Having acquired a Parker 25 sans aerometric converter, I bought a converter that I thought would be compatible (a "Buck Rogers" aerometric converter, apparently for a 45), but looking at it, it probably isn't. It's a bit squatter and fatter than the converters for the 25. I take it this won't fit into a 25's slim barrel, and I should content myself with one of the slide converters or stick to cartridges instead?

When I got my P25 new it came with a 'Stainless Steel Cartridge' type convertor.

 

Having looked at my P25, just a few minutes ago, I think you're right that a twist convertor will be too big to fit in the very end of the barrel, so you'd be restricted to the slide convertor if you get one new. I don't have a twist convertor btw.

The current spec Parker Piston converter will fit a 25. I just checked one to make sure.

Yes, for most of the vintage Parkers, the modern piston type converter is suitable. The 25 takes these, or the vintage

stainless steel aerometric type converters.

Right, thanks folks. I have one of the slide converters somewhere, so it'll have to be that. (I'm just going to have to keep an eye out to see if I can find one of those long slim aerometric things they came with anywhere, I suppose.)
