I hope this is an accurate scan of the color! Super ink with great properties. Highly recommended.

You're handwriting is exceptional! Wow. Wow. Wow. Thanks for the review, too :)

Hi,

It is dark when I wrote with it. (Sailor 18K white gold fine point) For me it was an almost black colour with a blueish hint.

That's not handwriting, Marina, that's art!

Thanks for the preview as I recently got a bottle of the Sailor B/B and haven't opened it yet. Reminds me a little of my Noodler's Tahitian Pearl and Diamine Prussion Blue.

You didn't happen to soak it a bit, did you?

You sure have one heck of a handwriting...amazing! Did it take a lot of practice?

Does Sailor only carry blue-black and not regular "blue"?

Sailor ink comes in blue, too. Pendemonium has individual swab images on the catalog page, and it's also on Pendemonium's comparison PDF.

Hi Marina,

Nice review and your handwriting is beautiful. I read your review yesterday and, since I had the day off, I decided to visit Pam Braun and pick up a bottle. I really like the vintage look and smell of this ink. I loaded it into a Sailor 1911 with a fine nib, and I can easily see this ink becoming one of my favorites.

Betty, I bought some of the regular blue today also. I'll try to post a sample later this evening.

Thanks Marina!

Larry

Nice - on my screen it is very reminscent of my beloved Prussian Blue - so I would probably like this ink a lot.

Doesn't look like there's too much green in it (as there is in many b-b inks) so that is appealing too.

i won't comment on the handwriting else give you a swelled ego. :)

Hi Marina,

Wonderful review, gorgeous handwriting, and it looks like I have seen that ink before.

Oh yes, an unopened bottle in one of my drawers. Time to get it out!

Thanks for sharing!

Sheesh you guys! Thanks for all the compliments  but what about the INK??

Nice - on my screen it is very reminscent of my beloved Prussian Blue - so I would probably like this ink a lot.

KCat: this ink is not as blue as Diamine Prussian (you sent me a vial of it and I just used the last of it :( ) This is more greyish, and like Dillon said, sometimes it seems almost like black with two drops of blue. I'd be happy to mail you a vial if you like! Just pm me if you want some. That goes for anybody!!

... but what about the INK??

I like the color very much ... it reminds me of the Sheaffer blue/black I always use. Grey, with just a hue of blue. Kind of mirrors my bleak complexion... ;-)

How does it behave when you put the writing in water? In other words: would you sign checks with it?

There's a water test here. I wouldn't sign checks with it.
