What Pens Are You Using Today?

Two trusty Sailor 1911M pens. One blue (with PR Midnight Blues ink) for general work the other red (with PR Dakota red ink) for grading and editing. A spare Levenger True Writer (currently loaded with PR Tanzanite) usually gets used to do the daily crossword to keep it from drying out.

Cheers.

Lamy 2000 ef nib/Noodler's Legal Lapis

and my brand-new Taccia Imperial Portugese (forest marble) with 0.6mm Binder stub/Noodler's Luxury blue

The Taccia is my first stub, and now I 'get it'. I don't know if I'll be able to go back to round tip nibs again. Of course, the stub is all you would expect coming from Mr. Binder's workshop.

I'm on "one pen a week" rotation now and the pen this week is a Sailor 1911 medium size with a zoom nib. Boy is it smooth!!!

Last week was a Pilot Elite and next week should be a Pelikan Pharo Stainless Steel :)

Pen of the week too:

Burgundy Reform, piston fill with blue Quink ink. Finally becoming a smooth writer after several days of use and some minutes of the brown bag treatment. The piston is also becoming smoother, gosh! it was hard when new.

I like the fine to medium nib and the rather wet writing, this last after tweaking the slit in the nib with a razor blade.

I'm using my Montblanc Bordeaux 145 Chopin with Montblanc Blue-Black from a bottle. It has a fine nib that's wet, so the MB BB ink makes a great match for this pen! It's one of my favorite users.

Pen of the day:

Sheaffer Targa 1003 with Mont Blanc black ink. It has a smooth writing. Somehow, I think the Mont Blanc black ink seems a little greyish from my point of view. I may use Parker blue-black ink next time.
