I broke down this week and took my Hundred Year Pens out of the Piquadro. In their place, I'm carrying The Pharaoh.

And I have Djehuty to thank for this rendering of my profession into hieroglyphics:

(Since the Egyptians didn't use pens, this means "Craftsman of Reeds." It worke for me -- thanks, Djehuty!)

One just out of the rotation: my Omas 360 Magnum, that was loaded with my fifty-fifty mix of Montblanc Red and Sheaffer's King's Gold (that renders an excellent and well-behaved orange). I wrote a very long letter that exhausted a full load of this pen.

The envelope was addressed with my Pelikan M200 Anthracite, that writes with a Pendemonium stub nib and another fifty-fifty mix: Omas Violet and Waterman Florida Blue. It produces a very beautiful Royal Blue.

The third pen in use is my Bexley Tuck-Away in cracked ice pattern and stub nib, loaded with a Montblanc turquoise cartridge. The combination of orange and this color on the same page was stunning.

Have a nice Sunday!

Today, it's a 60 y.o. brown, striated Sheaffer Balance given to me by my father, restored by Richard. It's a beautiful writer, thanks Richard. Filled with PR Lake Placid Blue.

Feeling a little green this week so I am carrying a Pelican M200 and a Waterman Phileas. I've had the Waterman for about a year and this is the first time I've used it. I'm liking it..........

Well, here are the "usual suspects" for me:

Home (desk): Sheaffer PFM V (burgandy, m-f nib) (newest addition).

Work (desk): Sheaffer Snorkel desk pen (black, F5 triumph nib) in a black onyx Sheaffer stand.

Work (pocket): Sheaffer Snorkel (aqua, F5 triumph nib).

All have either Aurora blue or black ink (depending on my mood).

Not fountain pens, but related:

mechanical pencil: Pentel Kerry (black, 0.7mm) (the absolute best mechanical pencil)

el-cheapo pen for when people ask "can I borrow a pen": (currently) ball-point pen from "Bear Metallurgical Company" (red, medium?)

I keep a cup filled with company promo pens on my desk for those who wish to borrow a pen.

This week, I am using a Reform Calligraph with a fine nib, loaded with Noodler's Pendemonium Special Edition Route 66 Blacktop Black. Today, I may have been taking many pages of notes in a crowded, stuffy classroom, but my mind was cruising a summer highway with the windows down and the B-52s in the CD player.
