Pelikan 215, fine, Florida Blue. This really is my favorite pocket pen. The nib from Richard is adjusted to lay down a nice wet line.

For a week or so I've been carrying my 1943 Hundred Year Pen, with the wicked flexie, so this weekend I put my 1941 Hundred Year Pen, with the RIGID accountant point, in the Piquadro, too, in the slot normally reserved for THE "51".

What' that you say? have I finally abandoned THE "51"? Not hardly! Fortunately, there's a nice open place between the two sewn-in slots, plenty spacious for THE "51":

Hey Richard, is there a proper term for the "ruffles" on the pen? I've only seen it on the Montblanc Virginia Woolf and thought it was the result of a Montblanc designer reaching too deeply into his bottle of inspiration. I didn't realize it was some kind of bona fide historical technique.

Just wondering about this.

Doug

P.S. Oh, it's a sunny 77 degrees here, and I'm still honeymooning with my VP Fermo with your .5mm italic cursive.

I went to a out-of-office meeting today and brought my Pelikan m605, Parker Sonnet Cisele and Waterman Kultur. The m605 is my primary meeting pen (along with my Namiki VP). It's dependable, has a wonderful nib and the cap opens and closes with less than a single turn. The Sonnet has a very fine point that I like to use sometimes. The Kultur is backup and the pen that I clip to a polo shirt and take to lunch. We are all back in the office and I've pulled out my new (to me) Filca Atlantica with a Binderized .9 mm italic stub nib.

Hey Richard, is there a proper term for the "ruffles" on the pen? ...

Waterman called the design "grooved." I'm not sure what Platinum calls it -- they have a 3776 that combines two Waterman versions into one.

Good morning, JD and all who are up already. 57F and overcast. Humidity is 93% :P

A dark green Eliott (a Japanese vintage from 50's) with flexy steel nib with Zhivago. I had this pen for a few years but never used it because of it's length (about the size of Esterbrook pusre pen) and scratchy nib. But I noticed that my new Estie 9128 nib improved after a few days of scribbring, so I'm going to give this a try :)

Also pink decimo with Arabian Rose today.

1930's Sheaffer's OS Balance in red veined marbled grey with a very smooth Lifetime upturned fine nib, using Noodler's bulletproof black.

I bought the pen at this year's Chicago Pen Show, and have been very pleased at its color and its smooth fine nib.

Good morning. Casual Friday: Pelikan M150, medium with Waterman Green and Pilot Knight with Pilot Blue. That Knight has got to be one of my favorites. If I was interested in a Custom 823, where is he best source for purchase??

I know Richie at www.cyberpens.com can send them to the USA for $200.

Oh, and for the record, today I'm using:

Fine nibbed Pel M605 with a blend: Namiki Blue/Levenger Cobalt/Noodlers Black in a 10:10:1 ratio. Looks like a med to me.

Fine nibbed 'P51' Aero with Noodlers Red Black. Looks like an xf to me.

Oblique medium nibbed Moore 84 with PR Chocolat.

Hello all,

I know many consider the Rotring Core a hideous pen, but I have been using it to take notes this week in several rapid-fire marathon summer class sessions, and it has performed well. It reminds me of the athletic shoes that supposedly inspired its design: not stylish, but comfortable and goes well with jeans and a backpack. And I only paid $10 for it! I have the Technor finish with the XS nib, which I think equals a fine point. It's loaded with Pelikan Turquoise.

Lisa

Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.
