I made extensive use of my Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 this evening. I wrote 3.5 pages of fresh story-notes today, and onece again, my Montblanc ran out of ink halfway through!...I think I should get a drop-tube put into that pen to give it a constant supply of ink. This is the second time in a WEEK that that pen has gone from completely full to completely empty in just a couple of hours....

What size NIB does your pen have. I have 2 145's, a M and B both need to be refilled after a couple of pages. Very juicy pens. I also have 2 146's with F and EF's and they last much longer without refill although they are plunger pens and hold more ink.

Hello.

My MB is a Montblanc Meisterstuck fountain pen - 145. It has a FINE nib. I specifically searched everywhere for a FINE nib, and I would not buy anything broader than that. My particular pen comes with a piston-converter, and I'll say now that it practically DRINKS ink like an Irishman drinks whiskey. I started writing more story-notes for a new story last night. I've done six pages, and the pen is already just-shy of being half-full. I didn't fill the pen specifically for this batch of writing though.

I checked the pen before I started notes on my new story, it was at least 4/5 full. Now it's half-full, and it's only been 24 hours and six pages of writing.

You can see my pen below, in my signature. Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 fountain pen.

Today was a Waterman new and old day. My modern Waterman Amber Shimmer Carene was filled with Waterman Blue and my vintage 54 was loaded up with De Atramentis Vanilla Brown.

Today it's the green PFM 4 and the grey Parker 61. I got the PFM back from Richard Binder recently- he fixed the leak around the inlay. The 61 has developed a small hairline crack at the end of the nib which is resulting in inky fingers, but I want to run as much ink out of it as I can before I flush it and get it fixed...

Happy May Day, all FPNErs,

I'm using some new ink I just picked up: Diamine Sapphire in my new Pelikan 215. M nib, and Caran D'Ache Storm in my old Pilot Sterling Hawk, B nib. I also have a Dani Trio Ban-ei filled with Sailor Black that I used this morning, but it's napping now.

It has finally warmed and cleared up here. But tomorrow it will rain again and cool into the fifties for a high. :bunny01:

Today is Binder Mania day for me! Just got two Biderized specialty nibs in from Richard last night and fitted them in my favorite Pelikans and loaded them with ink!

My Pel Grand Place is fitted with a 1.1mm crisp italic and filled with PR Chocolat and my 400 blue stripe Soverign is fitted with a .9mm ItaliFine and is filled with PR DC Supershow Blue.

Have had a hard time working today for scribbling on everything playing with the new nibs!

May have to refill both tonight! These puppies really lay down the ink. :vbg:

Good morning, JD and everyone. 50F out, high in mid 70's.

Will use Orange Capless with Ambre and Lime Green Prera with the purplish blue mix today. I was in such a hurry to get out of the house, and forgot my pen case. "Sparco" blue stick BP (looks just like Bic) I found in a drawer at work today  Tonight I'm hoping to use my FPN pen for journaling if it shows up in the mail :)
