Today I used some indestructables since I've been nervous about bringing the VP to work since it got damaged:

Charcoal Lamy Al-Star EF with black ink for notes

Purple Lamy Al-Star EF with burgundy ink for grading

Green Platinum Balance with green ink for creative writing

It's the same thing every day.

Why? Because these are my favorites. :)

My all time everyday pen: Black Parker Sonnet with fine nib.

I am also using a Gold Parker 75 with a extra fine nib.

I have two Parker 51s and a Parker 180.

The only non-Parker on my desk is a Pilot with medium nib.

I have been making friends with my Pelikan m400 extra fine. I purchased it new and it required repair. I have been using it exclusively for a couple of weeks. Now that it's working well, it is turning out to be a great everyday pen.

The Cascade I got last week has been restored to full functionality and is riding in my pocket today, and let me tell you that I really love this pen a lot already!

And it's getting rave reviews from co-workers; I bumped into one who was collecting signatures for a petition (it's what she does on her days off) and pulled it out to sign with, and it made a definite impact. Now, I don't consider re-saccing and polishing a pen in otherwise perfectly good condition to be major restoration work -- it's not like I had to re-shape the nib or install a new lever mechanism or clip or fix a cracked barrel, I just cleaned it up and installed one minor part. And I did screw up a little, I managed to rub the gold plate off the end of the nib, so I will want to replace or re-plate that eventually.

But it does look nicer than it did when I received it. :D

Also, the retractable glass-nib dip pen arrived from Germany today. Hmm, I have a bottle of ink in my desk drawer, maybe I'll give it a test run as long as I have it with me...

Sticking with the Cascade. That's really bordering on being a daily carry, it is.
