My Pilot 78g had gone all sorts of scratchy. On a whim, I stuck one of the proprietary cartridges in that I hadn't ever used and voila! It seems happy again, so I'm using that today.

Several Parker Vectors, all with F nibs (I inked up 4 of the five with iron gall inks over the weekend for other people to use, and the pens seem to have fared okay). The dark blue one that was my gateway pen (the wet writer) has R&K Salix, and the bright blue one has Organics Studio Aristotle; both of those pens have been for general note taking and check writing. The red one, which got used this morning for my journal, has R&K Scabiosa.

I'm a brand new fountain pen user and bought 5 relatively inexpensive pens within the space of a couple of weeks. I use my Lamy Safari, with a Monteverde for Lamy cartridge in brown, everyday (it was my first). I paired it with my gold zigag Pilot Met inked with Delta Brown. My Noodler's Ahab flex in fox gray arrived today, so I filled it with Diamine Macassar (another brown), to be ready for tomorrow.
