HOW DO YOU LIKE THIS PEN ? I PLANED TO BUY IT ,SOME QUESTIONS STILL IN MY MIND SO NEED MORE TIME THINK IF I NEED TO BUY ONE MORE .

One of my favorite pens. Writes very well and I love the feel of the micarta. The look is also to my taste though it is not for everyone. I want to get another one without a clip.

Today i'm using my "new" Diplomat Attache with the ink cartridge that was supplied. Need to get a converter for it at some point so I can use my bottled ink :)

  • Esterbrook mechanical pencil.
  • Esterbrook SJ, 1554 nib, Private Reserve Black Cherry.
  • Pilot Vanishing Point, fine nib, Pilot Black cartridge.
  • Parker Jotter, pre-1973, black Fisher Space Pen refill.

And yes, I found a use for each of these today.

1) Parker Vacumatic Major, with Waterman Mysterious Blue

2) Noodler's Flex Piston Creaper, with Noodler's Bay State Blue

3) Noodler's ebonite Konrad, with Diamine Merlot.

I have a huge number of samples to try, so something else might just get inked up before the night is over. Hmmm. Maybe the Parker 45 needs to be a tester pen today.... Plus, I *finally* got my hands on a bottle of Noodler's El Lawrence, and one of the resin Konrads did very well with a fill of the sample I had.

I always wonder why TWSBI never consider making a G10 model, should be a better material to work with than Micarta.

An idea rattling around in my noggin for some time demanded life as hardcopy this morning, and so, in order to meet that demand, I reached for my...

Lamy AL-Star (alloy), 1.1mm stub nib...

...and defaced another couple of pages in my notebook. (With Noodler's Old Dutch Colony Sepia, no less.)

First nib, and ink, of the day.

Which reminds me: Is there a "first pen/nib of the day" thread?
