A day of extremes:

brand new Big Black Danitrio Mikado in Raw Ebonite (Matte), thanks again to the Winedoc, filled with Waterman's blue black; and

Myu-701 with medium nib and Lamy blue.

Admittedly pretty boring on the ink front; editing legal documents doesn't really invite a more interesting selection, but these two pens are like a holiday for the hand and the eyes.

Michael's Fat Boy Comet fountain pen.

I like it a lot more than I thought I would since I don't find the rollerball that comfortable. But now I have a set in matching colors. smile.gif

I finally bought a Pelikan M800 Souveraen in black & red today with a fine nib, and I am using Waterman's Florida Blue to write in my journal. I love its size, and can't wait to buy a Pelikan M1000 next month.

Today I'm using an Aurora Optima I brought with me to India, and a Parker 75 NOS and a Sheaffer NoNonsense italic, both of which I found at a shop here. Hope everyone is well!

Hello to you all. I am new to this Network so I'll introduce myself briefly: My Name is Otto Bauer, jr., and I'm living in Germany near Stuttgart. Please excuse my English because I'm a litlle bit rusty on it..

I'm owning three fountain pens, from which I'm using two by now, actually:

My oldest one is an Pelikan Pelikano school pen, blue with chrome parts and a medium nib, it's already 20 years old, still writing good as I've used it the last time, but now it's retired, carefully cleaned. As I've used one older model of it in school there was some kind of "war" between Pelikan pen owners and that one who are using the Geha pens.. The Geha have had a "Reservetank" in their cartridges as some kind of Gimmick, if the cardridge was empty you have to turn it around and clip it into the pen again. Not that it was very practical because there wasn't more ink in these cardridges, but it's been somewhat like "cool" for their owners ;) Geha was bought up by Pelikan later, in the beginning or mid of the 1990s, afaik.

Then I'm using an Waterman Hemisphere in Red, GC with a fine bicolor (gold and silver) nib, which I bought for about $ 35 via eBay, rather cheap because it's been from an discontinued serial. (Actually, it's been replaced by an Marble Red GC). It's writing very good although I'ld buy it with a medium nib if I had to do it once more. It is medium heavy, has a good workmanship, it's elegant and rather slim, as you know, so it's not good for big hands, I presume. Though it's recommended to use genuine Waterman cardridges by Wm I'm using Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue cardridges on it without any troubles. (The Waterman ones are just rather expensive and no way better than the Pelikan parts, as I've been testing both of them)

The third one is for daily use: It's a cheap but beautiful Huahong #24 in a wonderful marble red, with a medium to fine bicolor nib and an ink converter, though it's to use with standard cardridges, too. It's made by Shanghai Huahong Gold Pens, a chinese brand I haven't heard of until I bought this one. I am pleased with it for it's writing smooth, it's lying good in the hand and it looks more expensive than it is, actually. I'll attach a pics underneath (hope it works), and I have to say it's been simillar to the Romet Asia Line pens though not reaching these FP's for sure.

Many greetings to you all,

Otto

Hi JD and everyone! Got back late this am, windy and sunny, 77F ph34r.gif

The only pen I used yesterday was Ohto Tashe with PR Midnight Blue. Haven't used for a few weeks, started out right away smile.gif Probably use Pricilla pen today to catch up with my journal (I skipped writing on Fri and yesterday). I want to change ink in it so I have to use up.

JRodriguez, NOS Parker 75?! Sounds like you are at the right place biggrin.gif

For work Green striped M400 with Pelikan Black (with matching ballpoint an pencil) and I may ink up the L5 I bought last week (just a bit worried the fill will last forever and I won't get a chance to use another pen for ages).

A Brown striped Sheaffer level filler with a matching pencil (must find out what model they are, a Balance of some description I think).

For home still playing around with the No Nonsense Old Timer and italic nibs and may ink up my goldplated Parker Falcon.

Good morning. Using my new Lamy 2000 (EF nib) with Private Reserve Black Cherry ink. Just got this pen last week and man, is it a wet nib! I'm used to a bit dryer, but nice nonetheless. smile.gif
