What Pens Are You Using Today?

Parker 51 Special, M tip, desk pen

Parker 45, M tip (the M tip writes like a F tip which I like), desk pen

Parker CLASSIC, F tip

Parker 88, F tip

Baoer 388, FM tip

I'm deinking some of my horde of too many inked up pens.

It is hard to rotate thru so many pens before they get fussy about not being used.

At the office: Twsbi 580 M with Pelikan black for notes

Twsbi 580 B with Pelikan red for corrections/editing

In my pocket: Pelikan M200 with Pelikan blue (because it's lightweight) in case I need to write something down

In my messenger bag: Pelikan M805 F with Mont Blanc midnight blue because it's my favourite pen with my favourite ink

Sailor Pro Gear Slim M with Mont Blanc midnight blue because writes so well and fits perfectly in the case with my M805

I'm contemplating a Sailor Pro Gear King size or Pelikan M1000. This is clearly bordering on the excessive...

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

1) a Sailor 1911 full size, matte black with ruthenuim plated section, XF nib. This one is for writing a manuscript (Beauty, Ethics, and Nature) on a large Rhodia "R" pad.

2) a Pilot Custom Heritage 91, medium (wet!) nib, for general notes, signatures, etc.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

All I've had time to grab today are Pilot G2 gel-pens, and a Pilot P-500--the former being a fine point and the latter an extra-fine point, if memory serves.

Unless you want to count pen-cils, in which case add a #2 Ticonderoga, with its lovely yellow-paint-over-wood "body" and luscious graphite..., er, "lead."
