I've actually not been "penning" that much of late, given my dive into fiddling with Linux on a couple clunker Thinkpads I picked up on the very cheap.

Today, however, sitting in and watching the snow, I decided to do work on some pens, so...

For today...

OMAS 361, filled with Sheaffer blue. I was having some serious "seeping" problems on the shell, but I think I've gotten it under control. Pen writes great!

Montblanc 32S, filled with Pelikan Royal Blue. Flushed & filled. Another great writing pen.

Montegrappa Extra 1930, filled with Visconti Black. What more can I say?

I've been toting my C-S Churchill lever fill in my pocket, with Diamine Asa Blue, but really haven't done any writing. Yet...

"Here was a man who had said, with his wan smile, that once he realized that he would never be a protagonist, he decided to become, instead, an intelligent spectator, for there was no point in writing without serious motivation." - Casaubon referring to Belbo, Foucault's Pendulum.

Montblanc 136 steel EF nib, Waterman Florida Blue for writing practice at home.

edit: decided that practice alone wasn't enough. Wrote a note to a penpal with my Montblanc 244G 14C EF nib, Montblanc Black ink.

Hard to choose! Today I got my first Esterbrook J (grey & chrome with a 9555 nib), plus yesterday, a brand new Waterman Harley Davidson - my first Waterman, and surprisingly lovely. Two vastly different pens. The Waterman is great for work (lots of numbers) and the Waterman for my journal.

I use the Waterman Carene as my signature pen. I use my Waterman Ici et la or Parker 51 if I feel fancy. A Hero 329 has been my standard portable, thoroughly abused pen for the last 32 years.

Did some more cleaning and shifting, and got out three other pens to get back into the line. This morning I'm using:

Signum Orione, custom stub, with Diamine Imperial Blue

Visconti Van Gogh (original), fine nib, with Visconti Green

Montegrappa Espressione, fine nib, with Diamine Oxblood

Not a bad Sunday combination. :happyberet:
