Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Today I switched from my Hero 329 to my Jinhao 159 "The Beast". Nice medium nib laying down a wet line.

For a steel nib it has a tiny amount of flex, the first thin vertical line is with the nib inverted (upside down).

For an idea of the size, it is almost 2 1/2 lines thick on my paper.

I usually use a Reynolds Trimax gel pen, a Parker Vector and the Uniball Vision Elite. I currently have in my pocket the Parker, a Unibal Signo 207, a Papermate Inkjoy, a Customized Uniball erasable gel,(not so erasable after I switched it's refill) and a Pental Quick Dock mechanical pencil.

Did a practice run of the Groot Dictee der Nederlandse Taal (Grand Dictation of the Dutch Language) with my Montblanc Agatha Christie, filled with Iroshizuku Asa-gao.

Brought my current duo of Parker Duofold (with Parker Quink Blue) and Sailor 1911 (with Private Reserve Dakota Red) with me to work.

journaling / tinkering with pens / sailing / photography / software development

Lamy studio with Diamine Twilight and TWSBI 540 with Waterman Florida Blue, a nice smooth combo

Only regret pens you've bought, not pens you didn't
