In addition to a couple of Parker 51 vacs that I always carry, I purchased a new pen over the weekend. It is a new-version Conklin Symetrik in Blue-Brown with gold trim and a medium steel nib. I inked it up today with Private Reserve Ebony Blue, which is a great color match for the pen. Right out of the box it is a very smooth writer!

I've worked a green celluloid Marlen Inca Cuzco into the office rotation today. It's doing quite well, filled with PR Avacado. Also in the line up are a Sheaffer Legacy II filled with pharmacist's Darkening Absinthe, an Omas MoMA filled with Noodler's Black and a Sheaffer Triumph vac filler filler with PR American Blue. That Sheaffer has a factory stub on it that is a delight to use and PRAB looks great out of this pen.

The Sheaffer Legacy ran dry, so I flushed it thoroughly and put it in the case for a rest. I replaced it in rotation with a dove gray Parker 51 Vacumatic EF and filled it with Noodler's Green Marine. This EF is really fine.

Noodler's Konrad. I've had mixed luck with the Noodler's brand. I love BSIAR, but other inks I've tried didn't work for me. My first Ahab would not write, and took some work to get it to work. Now, it flexes beautifully. However, I wanted a Konrad for non-flex, everyday writing. I just got a black one. It's really, really nice. The nib lays down a wet fine-to-medium-fine line, and has quite a bit of spring to it. I don't flex it, though. A lovely writer! If I could only have one pen, this pen would be quite sufficient.
