Today I'm using my Montblanc Ramses Ballpoint with a blue broad refill. The MB ballpoints still impress me with their smoothness and skip free performance. smile.gif

Cross Century II, F nib, PR Blue Suede.

Lamy Vista, F nib, Diamine Monaco Red.

The Blue Suede and Monaco Red complement each other very nicely indeed.

And I'm stilling working through the massive load of Waterman BB held by my Etruria Nuda!

Hi, all, total noob to the list here, resident of South Florida, attorney, website owner, guitar player and pen obsessionado.

Came across this forum a few months ago when an afternoon trolling eBay pretty much sent me down the rabbit hole for vintage fixmeups.

Currently, my MVP is a yellow Lamy Safari, medium nib, but I have the blue studio on the way with a fine nib, and I'm biting my nails with anticipation. For a relatively budget pen, the Safari is by far the best writing instrument I've ever bought... I guess until I get the studio.

Was a user of the Visconti Pericles (because I love heavy pens) with a fine nib, until a coworker asked me if I was signing the Declaration of Independence with it, so now it stays home. Compared to the Lamy, the nib scratches, and I always have to do a little jig to get the ink flowing every time. But the cap on it is so nice, I can't bring myself to part with it.

Recently acquired two Esterbrook J's, and am also biting my nails waiting on the bladders and shellac to arrive from pendemonium (they're very courteous and awesome to business with, methinks). They have the gregg rule nibs, and I can't wait to ink the pens and start shopping around for higher-end nibs (in the 9000's).

Long time owner of a Mont Blanc Boheme, medium, which I got for graduation a few years ago. It's a gorgeous pen, and I love the retracting nib schtick, only it lays down a massive line, and I feel the angle of the nib is off for my bony hand.

The last one worthy of mention is http://www.rivo.mediatti.net/~soundboy/pilot_428_2.jpg, which came to me recently from Japan. My GOD it is fun to use, as the nib is ridiculously fine.

Hoping to win a few bids on Tuckersharpes to restore and swap nibs with the Esties.

I pretty faithfully use Waterman Blue Black, although I am aware that Noodler's is the best on earth. Eventually, I'll get around to ordering some, probably in some shade of brown.

Pleasure to 'meet' all of you and looking forward to reading more posts on this forum!

DaniTrio Densho with fine rigid nib, enjoying it very much today with Noodler's Ottoman Azure.

Sailor 1911 FM, this one is also humming along with Waterman Purple.

Decimo Japan/Champagne Pink with Noodler's Shah's Rose--think I will change the ink this weekend, it's too bright for this subdued pen. A nice mix of Highlands Heather & Iraqi Indigo, maybe.

Green Kultur demonstrator F with DWL Green--will swap for R&K Alt Goldgrun prob. tomorrow.

Philea F with Legal Lapis.

Pelikan Binder .6mm stub with FPN Galileo & N. Walnut.

Rotring Core "loaner" in F, same FPN/Walnut mix.

Isn't sanity really a one-trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy . . . ooh hoo hoo hoo! . . . the sky's the limit!

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded how much he had learned in the last seven years.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Have to admit, despite my vast vintage collection (well, 6 pens) wink.gif I have today been using a Parker Vector, circa about 1983. Not really vintage!

I've just dipped a toe in the world of FP regeneration. Two Vectors from school days, one mine, one Neil's, and an unidentified third pen. All dried up and sitting sadly in the attic until Neil dug them out for me to experiment with.

They now all work! Might not be a great achievement but I was impressed! I'm now making use of them because they are relatively dry writers compared to some of my older stuff. Might even make it into the office!

Even started refilling cartridges, so I can use my lovely inks!

We can sail safely inside the harbour but that is not what ships were built for - anon
