a Pilot Bamboo with a Medium Nib...

"Writing is 1/3 nib width & flex, 1/3 paper and 1/3 ink. In that order."Bo Bo Olson

"No one needs to rotate a pen while using an oblique, in fact, that's against the whole concept of an oblique, which is to give you shading without any special effort."Professor Propas, 24 December 2010

"IMHO, the only advantage of the 149 is increased girth if needed, increased gold if wanted and increased prestige if perceived. I have three, but hardly ever use them. After all, they hold the same amount of ink as a 146."FredRydr, 12 March 2015

"Surely half the pleasure of life is sardonic comment on the passing show."Sir Peter Strawson

Right now, I have a a TWSBI 540 1.5mm inked with Noodeler's Pushkin, an Edison Morgan inked with Noodler's El Lawrence, a Pilot Custom 823 inked with Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo, a Lamy 2000 inked with Noodler's Air Corp Blue Black, and a Sailor Desk Pen inked with Noodler's La Reine Mauve. Oh, and a Noodler's Ahab in Creaper's Cobalt inked with Kung Te-Cheng for notes and such... That's just a great pen, and a great ink.

I'd rather live without, than live without giving.

Using an inexpensive Bulow with Noodler's Heart of Darkness... just gave in to buying a TWSBI 540 Diamond with 1.1mm nib, SO EXCITED.

Stipula Modello T, orange/black ebonite, filled with Iroshizuku Fuyu-Gaki (a superb match for flow and lubrication, a good match for ink/pen colours, and great for marking up specification changes while doing a group review!);

Parker '51' Flighter, fine, loaded with Noodler's Der Eiserne Kanzler;

Lamy 2000, EF, filled with Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Goldgrün;

Stipula FPN LE Notte Di Stelle, 0,9 italic, inked with Iroshizuku Kon-Peki;

Stipula Suprema Nuda, Modello T titanium nib transplant, filled with Montblanc Racing Green.

I would say I'm turning into a Stipula nut like Wim, but even after the recent arrival of the FPN pens and a little supplementary spending spree, he still has 10 times as many as I do! :notworthy1:

Today I'm breaking out my newly arrived pair of GvF-C ivory anello classics. I got the rollerball and the FP with a medium nib. Unfortunately Im not sure what happened to the converter so for the time being I'm reduced t using carts. Luckily just the other da I invested in a pack of GvF-C schwarz hochfeine tinte cartridges. I really like the way they look, I wasn't sure I would and I mainly got them because it was a great deal but now that I'm using them in person I'm really impressed. Review in the works!

WTB: the following GvF-C classic FPs (pref. B or OB nib) or rollerballs: platinum plated, gold plated, solid sterling silver, ebony anello and gold anello, PM me!

(also interested in most other GvF-C products in general, i.e any writing tools, leather goods, advertising/packaging)

This week I'm using my Conway Stewart Celebration Coronet (eyedropper version) with italic fine nib and inked with Perle Noire ink. Always a winning formula for me.

But my hand is still twitching for the TWSBI 530 with 1.1 stub that I've been using continuously for the last three weeks...

Nervous? No, I'm just thinking...

Today, my new blue TWSBI 540 EF. I was nervous that an EF nib on it would have too much feedback for me as my fine ROC has quite a lot, but instead it is one of the smoothest nibs I own, which is the last thing I expected. I suspect I will be itching for this pen to be in my hands for months :)

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time
