Today I am mostly using my Waterman Hemissphere pen with my usual Parker Blue Quink Ink to write a letter to one of my penpals.

For the rest of this week I will be at work.

Since last week I'm STILL using my TWSBI 530 with 1.1 Stub (yes, its been that good a write) but this week I've filled it with Noodlers Zhivago (last week it was MB midnight blue).

By jeez, I've fallen in love with this pen all over again. It's actually the nib/ink combination that makes a great experience for me. The shading this particular stub nib lays down with the right ink (in fact that is what a great writing experience is all about - it's in the nib!).

Yesterday was apparently a 1920s day. I did morning tasks with a 1926 Parker Duofold Jr., filled with Waterman Florida Blue.

When I got back to writing tasks in the afternoon I was using a 1927 Sheaffer Flat Top, filled with Hero Blue.

Today, I'm going a bit more modern. Still using the Sheaffer, but also a 1950s tortoise Pelikan 400NN, filled with a golden brown mix.

My TWSBI 540 filled with Noodler's Golden Brown. What a nice combo. Then there is the White Tortoise filled with Stipula Moss Green, and my Pelikan M215 filled with Zhivago. Heavencloud9.gif

Some quick journal scribbles this morning with my 80's MB 149, M nib, with MB Blue-Black.

Have a round of meetings this morning, and was thinking about using my modern Kaweco Dia, as I haven't had it out for a while. Team it up with my Onoto Magna 261, a great writer. Make it a neo-vintage day.

Also have my CS Belliver, F nib, with Parker Black Quink in my pocket for the moment.

Parker 51 with Noodler's Black for some note writing in class. Even happened to try and coordinate some navy colour clothing to match with the pen...

Today I used my Pilot Vanishing Point with a medium nib at work (Black Carbonesque) filled with Rohrer & Klingner Salix along with a Platinum Preppy 05 filled with Noodler's Nikita and a Parker 45 Flighter with Montblanc Toffee Brown. I also used a Sheaffer NoNonsense (med. nib) with a Sheaffer Skrip Blue cartridge. At home I used an Esterbrook J 9556 with Noodler's Blue-Black. At both home and work I used my Pilot 78G Fine with Noodler's Black.

Today I stayed mostly in the 1950s. Morning journal writing was accomplished with a Geha Schulfüller, filled with a Pelikan Turquoise/Private Reserve Sherwood Green mix.

Except for a bit of work with an Aurora Optima, filled with a Parker Penman Emerald/Private Reserve Sherwood Green mix, the rest of the day's writing tasks were done with a tortoise Pelikan 400NN, filled with a golden brown mix.

I am now thinking the 400NN is the next pen to go in my 2012 paring down. It is a gorgeous pen and a great writer (I love the feel of the semi-flex fine nib), but I'm just not feeling the connection with this pen I do with some of my others. Since my new pen mentality is, "if it doesn't get used regularly it doesn't stick around," I will probably be listing it for sale soon.
