I am sending out two Postcrossing cards today using my U.S. Air Force Esterbrook 407 desk set with a 7556 nib and Hero blue ink. The set is mismatched because I bought the pen and the inkwell separate. The Dip-Less pen is black and the inkwell is brown, but that's OK with me since it works like a pro.

Foo! So many pens and inks, so little money....

Started out the day at home using a Visconti Van Gogh with Noodlers Pinstripe Homage

At the office I will have a Namiki Vanishing Point with a binderized cursive italic with Noodlers Zhivago and a fine nib Namiki VP with a blue-balck cartridge.

Regards

Barry

Lamy Al-star Purple B nib, still with the blue ink cartridg it came with.

Bought it last week to try a B nibe (used to F nibs) - its a learning process to write with it; have to write larger and slower then usual, and the nib has a very precise location/point where it writes.

At first I found the writing so smooth it felt weird; now getting used to it but still feel it lacks some character - probably the feel I was looking for comes from an italic, next thing to try ;)

Today is an economy day. So far I've used an Airmail a Pilot Varsity and a Zebra V-301. I saw then Zebra at a Walgreens for 30% off so I picked up the 2 they had and so far I like it for a knock around pen.

Wrote in my journal this morning with my cardinal red 1928 Parker Duofold Jr., which is filled with Waterman Blue Black.

Signed a couple things at the office with my Namiki Maple Craft rollerball (fine black Pilot G-2 refill) before going to Durham.

After some visitation at Duke University Medical Center this afternoon, I stopped at a favorite restaurant for an early dinner and to get some work done in the quietness before evening rush. For that I used my sapphire Namiki Impressions, which is filled with Aurora Blue.
