I've been using an unbranded pen from a giftset many years ago. It's dark red, marbled effect with gold coloured trim and contains a Reynolds red ink cartridge bought in France. The pen is just under 11cm long. I have been correcting exercise books.

I'm getting ready for a hectic, long work week. My three-pen case is filled with:

Pilot VP in blue carbonesque, 0.9mm Binder italic nib, lots of extra Pilot Blue-black cartridges.

Pelikan M620 Shanghai, fine nib, diluted Sailor Oku-yama.

MB 146, broad nib, Noodler's Zhivago.

I must have been feeling the allure of the sea; both of today's pens are Sailors.

1. Sailor Imperial (made for Levenger) with a hard medium Emperor nib (filled with Herbin's Eclat de Saphir).

2. Sailor Magellan with a hard fine nib (filled with Sailor Jentle blue/black).

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

By the way?. Can anyone give a hand in addressing the green waterman?. it was a gift from my brother back in early nineties, at the Uni. It writes wonderfully smooth after more than 20 years.

From my Sheaffer calligraphy set, a simple "beginners set", I carry a fine-nib pen in my pocket, and additionally I have with me a 1.1 and 1.5 Reform calligraphy pens in ma bag.

At home I use a Pelikan 140 and sometimes a beautifull Wahl pen from the 1920s, which used to belong to my grandfather. But I also use at home Rotring Art pens, also for calliraphy.
