What Pens Are You Using Today?

Visconti Homo Sapiens, M, with Visconti Black, and switching off with my red Visconti Wall Street, M, as the blue ink pen. And a black/silver Visconti Opera, F, as the red ink pen, and a green-marbled Opera as the red ink pen. A good combination.

Oh, and my Montegrappa Privilege, M, is tucked into my work case as backup, with blue ink.

Guess it's an Italian kind of day!

Pelikan M400, B nib for general work. For brain storming sessions I use M400, a vintage Parker 51 and a Sfeaffer stub. They are filled with different color inks... it helps in organizing the notes,

Blue Lamy Safari 1.1 nib with Noodlers Black Swan In Australian Roses. The pen is tough enough to carry around all day long. I even dropped it outside in my driveway and forgot about it for three days. Found it again, washed it, filled it and it was good as new!

Using a Diplomat Excellence B Pearl in medium (which I want to write dry so I can try another ink in it) to record stuff about the hurricane in my journal. Still have power as of this post but ready with a candle if necessary.

I know this is nothing special but its something new and special to me. I'm using a Lamy Vista Fine nib. Its absolutely a fine piece of work. I've been using "cheep" fountain pens as starters but this is so solid a pen. To some it may not be, given the fact that there are thousands of pens and of higher quality and uniqueness I really was impressed the first time I held my Lamy Vista Pen and to write on it was a whole new experience. Its something you have to "feel" for yourself.

Anyway Here is a shot of my New Lamy Vista Fine Nib Fountain Pen. It sits resting comfortably on my desk against my bottles of Noodler's 5 O'clock Shadow, Noodler's Baystate Blue, and J.Herbin 1670 a fine red.

Today and the whole of this week I'll be using a vintage Pilot celluloid eyedropper pen inked with Aurora black. It has a #2 flexible japanese fine nib and I love the look of this pen but its been unreliable in the past. This will be it's first outing since it's been repaired.

If it fails me, I've got my Parker 51 flighter waiting in the background to fill the pinch...we'll see how it goes... :ninja:

Nervous? No, I'm just thinking...

I have in my pocket today a Northpointe Aria (blue) with a medium Iridium nib that I purchased years ago. Its feed has given me fits so I had it shelved. I recently purchased some Waterman Florida Blue and I've read about its magical flow so I decided to soak and flush the troublesome Aria thoroughly and filled it yesterday. So far it's been writing smooth as silk.
