My first post after over a year of silent reading here - hello everybody!

Today I am using:

Pelikan Souverän M400 (tortoise/white), EF, Visconti Inchiostro Rosso

Pelikan Souverän M605 (blue), F, Waterman Blue-black

Pelikan Tradition M200 (old style, grey marbled), Pelikan 4001 Blau-schwarz

I guess one can see quite clearly which fountain pen brand I am particularly fond of...

Welcome! Yes, Pelikans are the best, aren't they? Such smooth nibs.

Yes, Pelikans are definitely among my favourites. I have been using the grey marbled M200 since 3rd grade (back when this model wasn't "old style" yet) and during all of my school exams. I still love it, even though it got some bigger brothers in the last years. Most of my university papers and notes are written with the M400 tortoise/white now.

A Sheaffer chrome cap cartridge pen, marked as an advertising pen for Miller Boat Sales, 112 S Main Street, Jackson.

Underneath the name is;

Sample ACI,

Set PEP,

so maybe there never was a Miller Boat Sales in Jackson.

Well, I recieved a few pens in the mail this weekend and a few from repair and also I work on a few:

Stipula Saturno Olive Woodgrain color W/1.1 Stub Nib

Aurora Optima Burgandy Red W/Broad nib (I worked on this nib for a few hours on Saturday) It was once a toothy nib now it is a smooth Juicy Broad nib!!! Patience and persistance Pays off!!

Lamy 2000 W/Broad Nib Thanks Kurt!! This is a fantastic Pen with a wonderfully smooth nib. Why did I wait so long to buy a Lamy 2000?

Visconti Copernicus Black&Blue celluloid striped W/Medium nib

Stipula Etruria Ocean Blue W/1.3 Stub Nib

TNS

Well today I am also using a Lamy 2000, and a Pelikan for a backup using Parker Blue/Black Quink; but to sign letters an Omas Ogival with Waterman South Seas Blue ink. Lamy 2000's are a good functional pen. I have given two away as gifts over the years.

Parker "51s" are a lovely pen. I have three.A grey with gold cap, a black with gold cap (with original box) and a s/s cap with a maroon barrel. The maroon barrelled one was my late fathers. He won it in 1953 for being the top battery commander in the Royal Australian Artillery. I sat for my 12th grade exams with it, signed my professional roll with it and signed the marraige register with it. Quite frankly the only pens to come close to it are a Lamy 2000 and the Parker Premier Sonnet with the plain 18ct nib. I kick myself for not buying the commoration edition Parker put out a couple of years ago.

This week it's a silver grey Esterbrook J with a 9788 (flex medium) nib and Noodlers Walnut ink.

I have not used this pen for quite a while so its like starting all over again. The nib is a lovely write.

Nervous? No, I'm just thinking...

Today I've begun writing my packing lists for my up-coming vacation to Ireland. So, of course, my ink is green, Diamine Sherwood and my writing instrument is my lovely green Esterbrook J with the flex medium 9788 nib.

floydee1, I agree the nib is a lovely write. I thought the 9668 nib was my favorite Estie nib until I got the 9788.
